Rubbish the Raccoon was commissioned by the Town of Chapel Hill for Earth Day 2024.
It was sited at 540 West Franklin Street and later relocated to the Chapel Hill Community Center. In summer 2025 it was relocated once again to the Chapel Hill Public Library, where it is currently located.
